Stock teamwear usually offers the fastest and simplest route, with badges, sponsors, names and numbers added to an existing garment. Sublimation integrates the design into the fabric and can support more visual freedom. Cut-and-sew gives the greatest control but normally requires more development and approval work.

The most elaborate route is not automatically the best. Decide whether distinctiveness, speed, low minimum orders, fabric choice or easy replenishment is the controlling requirement.

Supply the crest and sponsor marks in the format requested by the designer. Ask for written approval proofs showing placement, colours, spelling and number style before production begins.

Confirm whether the club receives usable final artwork and whether the design can be reproduced by another supplier. Keep every approved proof and colour reference with the club’s ordering record.

Custom ranges can change, so ask how long the design and fabric will be retained and whether a later order uses the same minimum quantity. Replacement players, new sponsors and damaged garments should be considered before the initial approval.

Build realistic time for design revisions, samples, size collection, production, delivery and contingency. Treat an estimated lead time as provisional until the supplier confirms the approved order and schedule.
